Solo Club Alumni Association

At no time was the purpose of the Solo Club to become a dating service, yet people do meet, and some of them fall in love and marry. Often they have formed life long friendships, as well as loyalty to the club. Therefore, some time ago the Board of Directors extended to those married couples, who had been members while single, continued association in the club.

Each year the President of the Solo Club appoints an Alumni Couple to represent the Alumni Association. In 2008, David & Helen Sikes were selected. Their contact information is 505-269-6459, and email of David@Sikes.cc or Helen@Sikes.cc.

Over the years the Alumni Association have made major financial contributions to The Solo Club. Fund raisers, sponsored by the Alumni Association Members has resulted in many thousands of dollars coming into club accounts. In December of 2007, The Alumni Association Members organized visits to Elder Care Homes, giving prizes to the elderly, singing songs, and various forms of entertainment. Plans are in motion to continue this programs in 2008.

On October 26th, 2008, several members meet at Dave and Helen's home and discussed plans for sponsoring Alumni and other club activities. The next planning meeting is set for November 3, 2008, between 5:30 and 6 PM, at the Solo Club.
